Description

Ni Cleanzer Dehydrator & Neutralizer

Although we use Ni Cleanzer for many, many things, it's primary purpose is a Cleanzer, Dehydrator & Neutralizer for every nail service.  There are many nail cleaners on the market, but none like Ni Cleanzer!  Check out our nail videos below and read on to learn how many other uses you will have for it!

Ni Cleanzer as a Cleaner, Dehydrator & Neutralizer

1) Saturate nail wipe with Cleanzer.
2) Wipe nails on one hand side to side with our pinching method demo'd in the how to video above.
3) Wipe once to remove products like Cutique Cuticle Softener.
Wipe twice to fully remove sticky gel residue.
  • The first wipe saturated with Ni Cleanzer will Cleanze most of the dispersion layer off.
  • The second wipe saturated with Ni Cleanzer will neutralize the sticky gel residue.
  • Get 2 new nail wipes for the other hand so no residue is transferred between hands.  You will use 2 wipes per hand to properly Cleanze and Neutralize sticky gel residue.

Ni Cleanzer to Prevent or Eliminate Contact Dermatitis

Contact Dermatitis is all too common in the nail industry.  This is sad because it is completely preventable!!  Contact Dermatitis can occur with ANY brand of gelz.  Anytime skin is exposed to products repeatedly, contact dermatitis can appear.  It can take years to develop. But once techs have Contact Dermatitis it is very difficult to eliminate. In my experience,  it takes not only time to heal, but a complete change in the way we do nailz.  We have to learn what habits we have formed that cause it in the first place.  Then UNDO the damage & PREVENT it from reoccurring. Thousands of beauticians worldwide quit the beauty industry annually due to contact dermatitis and it's completely preventable.  The solution for Nail Techs is the proper use of Ni Cleanzer.  See our double cleanzing with 3-4 wipes method as featured in the video above.
We've also seen instances of eczema & contact dermatitis from soaps & improper handwashing/rinsing, soaking of nailz in acetone, etc.

Ni Cleanzer as an Antiseptic

Pseudomonas are a bacterial colony - aka a bacterial infection.

The infection starts when bacteria and moisture get in between the gel & nail (usually in a lifted area). These are sometimes referred to as "greenies" in the nail industry - like it is a cute thing.  But Pseudomonas are anything but cute.  The resulting bacterial colony starts with trapped moisture from dish water, diaper and bathroom juice, hamburger blood - you get the picture.  The nail will often remain stained until grows out.
If this happens to any of your clients at your nail desk:
  1. Get pictures so you can monitor progress from fill to fill.
  2. Remove all lifted gel.
  3. Buff the natural to remove some of the discoloration being careful to not over-file the nail.
  4. Wipe the nail with Ni Cleanzer.
  5. Apply 10 drops to a good squirt of Ni Thymol and allow to dry. (Approx 30-60 seconds)
  6. I like to apply a few more drops every minute on the nail in question.  I do this while I'm prepping the rest of their nails so that by the time I get to washing the nails with Ni Cleanzer, the nail has had Thymol exposure 10 to 20 times.
  7. Wash the nail again with Ni Cleanzer & take an after picture.
  8. Apply gel as normal.
  9. Make a note on the client's file card so that you can watch for it in the next few nail services.
  10. Send client home with Ni Thymol to apply 2-3 drops per day until the next fill.
At the next fill...
  1. Look back at your pictures and notes from last month.  This will help you remember the previous condition the nail was in when you saw the client last.
  2. As your prepping the product off, Look for evidence of the Pseudomonas.
... Has it remained unchanged since you prepped it last month?
... Has it gotten worse?
... Is the stain simply growing out?
If it's gotten worse then I would want to know what's happening with that nail while it's not at my desk? Like is it being used as a crowbar?  Rarely does the problem get worse unless not all of the lifted product was removed.  Or the client may be doing something that is causing that nail to become damaged in between appointments.  In which case they either need to figure out what they can do differently with that finger or leave the product off until the discoloration has completely grown out.

Ni Cleanzer for Perfectly Finished Nail Results

TIP: use a blend of 70% Ni Cleanzer & 30% Orly Genius Polish Remover after curing your top coat!  This will effortlessly Cleanze and Neutralize the sticky residue AND remove stamping polish from surrounding skin!
For perfect results, use with the pinch & twist wiping method featured in the video above.
Note: Do NOT  wipe with polish remover or any solution other than Ni Cleanzer before your Sheer Brillianze top coat.  Water, oils or other components in these products can leave a residue on the nails that will cause rejection spots in your shine.

Ni Cleanzer and Nail Stamping Art
A tech contacted us for support as she had rejection spots in her top coat every time she was stamping. Turned out she was using acetone to wipe her Stamper in between stamps.  Acetone will cause rejection spots as well as seen in the first video on this page.

Between stamping:

  1. Get two nail wipes.  Once with Cleanzer, one with polish remover.
  2. Clean your Stamper with polish remover on one nail wipe.
  3. Then wipe your  stamper on the Ni Cleanzer wipe to remove any residues in the polish remover and prevent rejection spots!

Ni Cleanzer for Nail Art

Kellie hay - This photo was sent to me by a client. Can anyone tell me if and how this art can be achieved using gel.  If anyone has a YouTube link that would be greatly appreciated!  😊

Angel Haggart - Sharpies are awesome. I found using the shiny shades and then the drops of Ni Cleanzer (or mixing Cleanzer with a small amount of shiny shades) will give you a more defined outline. 🙂

Madison MacDonald - I do my marbling with a black sharpie! I draw a few fine lines and dip a thin brush in Ni Cleanzer, and it just disperses! 😊

Ni Cleanzer & Foilz
Some foilz have a gold or yellow-ish backing.  This backing can prevent the transfer of the foil to the gel!  A quick, gentle swipe of Ni Cleanzer to wipe off the gold backing first can assist the transfer.  Remember if using foilz for full Nail plate coverage, you will need to score the sides and tip of the free-edge and cap them with Sheer Brillianze top coat.  This will prevent the gel and foil from chipping away.

Ni Cleanzer Saves Your Equipment

Ni Cleanzer Saves Your Brushez

While using cleansers to clean gel brushes is typically a no-no, we absolutely MUST use Ni Cleanzer to clean our Bonding Brushez!!!  Bonding Brushez should last  at least a year if you are a bizzy tech.  I clean them like I would clean an acrylic brush, which is really aggressively.  De-shticking the brushez is uber important to their longevity.  I kinda pinch a wiggle them until they squeak!  The number one thing I see techs do to kill their bonding brushes is not enough Ni Cleanzer & not sufficient enough cleaning of the bristles.

Ni Cleanzer and Ni Synthesiz Poly-Gel

As it's name suggests, Ni PolyGel is the perfect SYNTHESIZ of both gel & acrylic!
It offers the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS like great strength, no smell, it's easy to work with, easy to file & easy to ombre!  & It's even easy to extend & shape the free edge during application!
A complete nail can be sculpted in as little as one or two beadz of product!
& It's not time sensitive (it's not curing while you're working with it - if it starts to set & gets sticky you just simply re-wet your brush with Ni Cleanzer to soften it & you can keep working with it)  ❣️
